Yarra Ranges
The Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges are some of Victoria's most popular motorcycling regions. Only an hour from Melbourne's CBD, the region includes some of our State's most attractive national parks as well as award winning restaurants and tourist attractions such as Healesville Sanctuary and Puffing Billy.
Shire of Yarra Ranges has developed this brochure and map (PDF, 846k) highlighting a choice of scenic and enjoyable rides for all motorcyclists.

Aaahh ... my backyard! It isn't just the Twin Spurs loop (Warburton, Reefton, Maryborough, Black Spur, Healesville); as great and as challenging as particularly the Reefton may be. Don't forget Healesville, Toolangi, either down Mt Slide, or continue on to Kinglake, the Steps to St Andrews (definitely NOT fast). Love it all.

Even though the speed limit has been dropped it's still great road to ride on and one of my favorites. Peferct for a cruise and have a break at the Marysville Bakery to support the locals who have always supported us.

Just did the Reefton spur road and Lake Mountain, sensational. No traffic and a glorius day, what more could you want? Very sad to see Marysville as I have very fond memories of the place. Still good to see that their were heaps of Bikers supporting the remaining local businesses.

I am still exploring different areas in the Yarra Valley and am amazed at the friendliness of the locals wherever I stop. The llop from Healesvile through Warburton to Marysville is a fantastic ride and coming into Marysville really tugs at the heart after the recent bushfires.

Try the road to the top of Mt. Donna Buang out of Warburton. Great on a hot day. Stop for a drink at the big car park always open .
